We hope that all of the participants and volunteers had a wonderful experience camping on the Bay and had a safe trip home. We know that the wind was a bit more than expected for the week and of course, has been much calmer and warmer since the event ended.
The views were incredible, the camaraderie amazing and your core team hopes that you are looking for other camporee's to attend or thinking about planning one in your area. If so - let us know!
We have close to 400 attendees coming from 15 states and 5 countries other than the United States:
Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Anglia, Belarus, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Wales.
The ashes list is amazing! The first entry is from 1907 and the list is 56 pages long!
Some have asked for the script that was read from and for a list of where the candle was lit from. Here is the text to the ceremony, however, we don't have the complete history of the candle. The candle that was used was lit from a similiar ceremony that was at Star North West in 2002.

Read a copy of our camp newsletter that was assembled during the two newsletter workshops that were held on Wednesday and Thursday. Note: The file was designed for being printed on 8.5" x 17" paper, back-to-back. Color photos or black and white photos.
If you want to purchase a group photo you can contact Ananda Fierro at Bay Area Photography.
We were very lucky to have Melinda Caroll write a song for the Camporee. For a limited time we are able to offer a free download Make The World A Better Place (click on link to hear the song or right click and choose "save target as" to save to your local machine) and lyrics. We hope that everyone enjoyed the song!
An album has been created on Photobucket.com. This has a controlled member list and is password protected. To gain access please contact TreasureIsland2008@coyotehillsgs.org. There are over 1100 photo's posted!
We have a few items left over from the store. If you got home and realized that you forgot to get something for yourself, contact TreasureIsland2008@coyotehillsgs.org.
Please let us know if we've forgotten to post anything or have any questions regarding the event. We look forward to staying in touch and hopefully visiting you at your camporee in the future! Who knows...there might be another camporee in California in a few years...
