July 2008: Troop finance reports are DUE ASAP! Two copies of the troop finance report along with a copy of the May bank statement were due to our Treasurer, Mary, by June 30.  Registration for a troop for the 2008-2009 year will not be processed until the finance report is submitted. Previous information updates including details about registration codes and upcoming changes to the Girl Scout program can be found by clicking here.

June 2008:

Spring troop registrations can be turned in to your Neighborhood registrar, with a copy of your troop financial report. Don't forget to complete and also turn in the "Early Registration" patch request form so that your troop can get a free patch for each early registrant (adult and girl!). Two copies of the troop financial report are also due to our Treasurer, Mary, before June 30.

Registration codes to be used for paperwork:

Girl Scouts Northern California ( GSNC) Council code is 636.

Coyote Hills Service Unit registration code is 307.

"Neighborhoods" (formerly known as "service units") are still numbered 1 - 6 but for registration only, "translate" as:  SU1 = 326, SU2 = 327, SU3 = 328, SU4 = 329, SU5 = 330, SU6 = 331.

October 2007:

OUR NAME IS CHANGING!

As of October 1, 2007 Girl Scouts of San Francisco Bay Area joined with the following northern California councils to become Girl Scouts of Northern California: Konocti, Napa/Solano, Santa Clara, and Sierra Cascade.  You can find the latest information about our new council at: www.girlscoutsnorcal.org

To be consistent with councils throughout the United States, we will now be the Coyote Hills Service Unit.  The new nomenclature will take some getting used to for everyone.  Transition always offers challenges, however, our association (service unit) has always been open and flexible.

If your troop has registered before October 15th, visit the Yahoo group for the order form to get FREE council ID strips for your troop. Orders must be received at council by November 7.

 NEW TROOP NUMBERS

All troops will now have 5 digit troop number beginning with the number 3.

The change in your troop number will depend on whether your current troop number is a 1,2,3,or 4 digit number.

 For example:

If your troop number is currently 1420, it will change to 31420
If your troop number is currently 627, it will change to 30627
If your troop number is currently  26, it will change to 30026
If your troop number is currently 5, it will change to 30005.

If you have any questions about what your new troop number is, please call Georgia Kopel.

 TROOP BANK ACCOUNT CHANGES

Due the change in our council name, Girl Scouts of Northern California, and our troop numbers we will need to make changes in our bank accounts.

Each troop leader will receive a letter from our Interim Chief Financial Officer, Andrea Bride.  This letter will have instructions on how the account changes will be made.

If you have not received this letter, contact Georgia Kopel immediately.
