Service Unit Responsibilities
Status
Service Unit Chair ?? Governance. The Chair is accountable to plan and hold Service Unit meetings and to plan and carry out a community relations plans within the Service Unit. (Not a voting member of the ACT)  
Service Unit Coordinator Two year commitment. Ensure the smooth operation of the association so the Council Goals and Objectives are met as they relate to the Membership Extension/Retention, People of Color Recruitment/Retention, and Family Campaign Fundraising efforts. Filled
Council Delegate Voted-in member. Attends and votes at Council meetings. Understands issues and shares information with Service Unit Filled
Secretary
Both Leader Meeting & SUCT Meeting - 1 ea
Responsible for recording, communicating, and disseminating information to and for the Service Unit. Open

Treasurer Performs all financial tasks necessary for the Service Unit according to Council and Service Unit guidelines. Filled
Registrar Performs technical tasks needed to process and transmit the membership registrations from a Service Unit or Neighborhood. Emphasize the importance of registering all Girl Scout participants on time. Open
Product Sales Responsible for product sales within the Service Unit. This can be a team of people or a single person for both Fall and Cookie Product Sales Filled
Service Unit Event Coordinator Develops a system of planning, implementing and evaluating events within the Service Unit. Under the direction of the Service Unit Coordinator and ACT, ensures that all events are set up within council and Service Unit guidelines. Filled

Adult Appreciation and Thank you Organizer Completing awards form on-time for the volunteers in our association at council level and association level. Filled
Resource Box Responsible for making Service Unit resources available at leader meetings and maintaining a current resource list. Filled
Uniform Exchange Responsible for making Service Unit uniform exchange box available at leader meetings and maintaining a current contents list. Filled
Press Representative To disseminate Girl Scout news and information to assigned newspapers and when appropriate, to other Press Representatives for their paper. Has authority to represent Girl Scouting to assigned newspapers. Open
Nuggets Editor Prepares an administrative newsletter that supports the Service Unit. Open
Save The Bay Representative Attend quarterly Save The Bay meetings at council and share information with the Service Unit. Open
Membership
Membership Coordinators Help organize troops with School Organizers. Review and approve trip approval forms. Answer questions about troop issues and Girl Scout Policy. Keep a record of continuing and disbanding troops. Work with the Placement List Coordinator to place girls. Open
Neighborhood Director Directs the work of the organizing troops and supporting leaders within the Service Unit. Open
School Organizer Act as the Girl Scout representative for a school. Distribute Girl Scout flyers, organize troops, and set up parent information meetings with the help of your Service Unit Director. Open
Day Camp
Day Camp Administrator Coordinate the paperwork and adult volunteers for summer day camp.  Filled
Brownie Day Camp Director Develop and organize a fun filled week of Brownie Day camp. You can do this alone or build a team to divide up the work. Open
Junior Day Camp Director Develop and organize a fun filled week of Junior Day camp. You can do this alone or build a team to divide up the work. Open
Staff Liaison Assist the Day Camp Administrator and Day Camp Directors by coordinating the volunteer staff. This requires that you work with the Directors to understand their staffing needs for the week and to work with the volunteers to be sure that they understand what is required of them and that they have met the required training hours. Consultant
Bridging Willing to be a resource for bridging troops. Open
Camping Anyone with camping experience willing to answer questions for the not-so-experienced. Open
Program Answers questions for age level leaders by being a resource for them. Open
